Keen can be described as an interdisciplinary studies person whose career journey since 1996 has spanned across diverse industries ranging from transport, logistics, ICT and higher education. His passion remains with education where he believes ardently in the development of good citizens for society. For his work in this field, he has twice been awarded the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Academic Award (Development) for innovative curriculum design that enhances students’ learning experiences in Citizenship and Character Education. He is also active in serving the community where he was awarded the Public Service Medal during the National Day Awards 2011.
Keen is a life-long learner on global issues and seeks to learn with his students in the World Issues: A Singapore Perspective module which he teaches. Outside of work, Keen is a gym nut, coffeeholic, book worm, aviation geek, military enthusiast and pixel monster who loves heading outdoors to snap birds, both feathered and metal types.
