Before I embarked on the education profession, I was researching on pharmacogenetics. This is a branch in personalized medicine which perceive individual patients as unique individuals with different genetic make-up which may lead to different response to treatment. Hence, medical treatment should be individualized for different patients.

The same principle can be applied to education. Every student is a unique individual who requires a varied recipe for success. The endpoint is diverse for various students. There is no one, single perfect solution for all students; just one best formula suited for an individual student.
