Email and Accounts for Associate / Special Adjunct Lecturers

On 1 Oct 2018, Associate/Special Adjunct Lecturers (AL/SAL) were migrated to the Microsoft Office365 Email, public cloud service.  Staff should not email Classified information to addresses ending with as these are on a public email platform.

What happens to NPNet accounts and mailbox when staff contract expires, resigns or there is a break in service?

The IM8 Policy on ICT Security requires all accounts and online access to systems to be terminated when a staff leaves the service.  Hence, AL/SAL’s NPNet account and mailboxes would be deleted within the next working day from the expiry of their contract.  Any access to systems via the account would also be denied.

To avoid losing useful teaching materials, schools may create shared folders in MeL or Google Apps for Education (GAFE) for AL/SALs to archive useful materials.
